There are so many amazing artists, musicians, bands, beat makers, vocalists, comedians and more in the 209 area code that are working hard to be discovered. They know the best support always starts local and even with so many well known sites like itunes or soundcloud local users are really not thinking to just search local, or get carried off by the sites other suggestions.

209Rocks is our solution for exclusively showcasing only artists that are right from our own backyard in the 209. While anyone can listen and become a user/fan no matter where you live, in order to become an artist here and upload/sell tracks on our site you have to be verified by us that you are located or have done a good amount of your work/art in one of the many cities located in the 209 area code. 209Rocks only advertises, promotes and publishes to Social Medias and Websites and Businesses that are directly related to our local 209 people

Free user have the ability to make your own playlists, follow your favorite artists and keep up to date with all their new and old tracks. Comment on your favorite tracks and share them or even your playlists with all your friends. More feature are coming too!

Once you become a verified artist you will get instant access to an upgraded profile page to help set you apart, you will also be able to begin selling your tracks if you choose. You also get all the same features as a user, so you can also support other artists by following and liking and making playlists of their content and your fans will be able to see this, maybe they will return the favor! There is no charge to be a verified artist once approved, you only take a small percentage of from tracks you sell.

We are very new friends, we are currently in alpha testing phase. This will be update when things change. Features and Bug fixes will be rolled out live until we leave beta. Selling tracks and withdraws will not start until mid beta.
